![]() The use of the unicorn masks is connected to the stereotypical relation between young girls and their love of unicorns. It is important to me that my work questions the way females are objectified. For this reason, I feel that my work is powerful and could influence other girls and women to do the same in regaining control and confidence. This feels like a regaining of control over how I am objectified, and also gaining confidence in my body. Through taking these photographs, I have control over what is publicly seen, and how naked I am. Lately, I have been using masks to cover my face and, therefore, taking away some identity from myself in my photographs. ![]() I have thought about what it is to be a woman, and how to relate my thoughts on this in my photographs. I have been including humour in my photographs, which I think adds to the rebellious nature of my work. My work has conflict in it, as a lot of my photos are both suggestive of sex and also an attempt to desexualise the body. I am exploring ideas based around the idea of objectification of the female body and I am trying out ways of changing the way in which the female body is sexualised. My current work is exploring themes associated with the naked body, through the use of photography.
